How FamilyBhai collects, uses, protects, and shares information when families use the platform.

Last updated: May 13, 2026
This page is a practical policy draft for FamilyBhai users. It should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before production launch.

1. Information we collect

We collect account details such as name, email address, login information, plan details, and referral information. When you create a family tree, you may add member names, relationships, dates, photos, places, biographies, contact details, social links, events, and invitation information.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide family tree creation, member management, visual charts, event pages, reminders, exports, billing, referrals, support, fraud prevention, security, analytics, and product improvement.

3. Family member data

You are responsible for ensuring that you have appropriate permission to add information about living family members. Avoid adding sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and you have consent.

4. Sharing and public pages

Trees are private unless you make them public or create a read-only share link. Anyone with a public or shared link may view the information shown on that page. You can revoke share links where the feature is available.

5. Photos and uploads

Uploaded photos may be stored and displayed in member cards, tree views, invitations, event pages, and exports depending on your settings. Do not upload photos unless you have the right to use and share them.

6. Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies, local storage, and analytics tools to keep users logged in, remember preferences, measure usage, improve performance, and protect the platform.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep account and family tree data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account or specific data, subject to legal, billing, security, and backup retention requirements.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should choose strong passwords and avoid sharing private links publicly.
